(Halifax, NS) With just a few days left in the provincial election, Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil announced today that he will be launching a major tour of the province to take his vision and balanced plan directly to Nova Scotians. Beginning tomorrow, the “Race to the Finish” tour will see the Liberal Leader visit 35 ridings in 72 hours in advance of the October 8th vote.

“In the final stretch of the campaign we want to continue to reach out to as many Nova Scotians as we can,” said McNeil. “We want to send a message to Nova Scotians that we won’t let up. We’ve got the best team. We’ve got the best ideas. And the Liberal team will be out there working hard for Nova Scotians until the very end.”

Beginning on Friday afternoon, Stephen McNeil will be making dozens of visits to coffee shops, campaign headquarters and shopping malls. Nova Scotians are invited to come meet with the Liberal leader throughout the province and see what the Liberal team has to offer.

“In NDP ridings and in PC ridings our message will be the same: After four years of Darrell Dexter, Nova Scotians are ready for a change in direction that they can trust. Nova Scotians are ready for a government that shares their priorities. I believe in the strength of our people and I promise to lead a government that puts Nova Scotia First,” said Mr. McNeil.

“For those Nova Scotians who are not satisfied with their government, we will make sure they understand that if they want real change, the Liberal Party of Nova Scotia is in the best position to provide the honest change they deserve.”

Voters can also follow the “Race to the Finish” blog and view the schedule online at, which will feature the latest dispatches from the tour, along with photos, videos and more.
