Premier-designate Stephen McNeil has appointed Kirby McVicar as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Premier.
McVicar had been Liberal Caucus Office Chief of Staff since January 2011.
“Over the last two and a half years, Kirby has played a major role in moving our team from Official Opposition to incoming government – his experience and skills are well-suited for important task of delivering on the mandate Nova Scotians have given us,” says McNeil.
Prior to joining the Liberal Caucus Office, McVicar served as Director of National Operations at Eastlink Cable Systems. He also previously worked as Executive Assistant to MP Mark Eyking and has been involved as a party volunteer for most of his life. McVicar grew up in Cape Breton, but now makes his home in Halifax.
