Ballot – The latest Nanos federal ballot tracking has the Conservatives at 34.8 per cent, followed by the Liberals at 29.2 per cent, the NDP at 15.6 percent, the Greens at 11.5 per cent, the BQ at 4.7 per cent and the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) at 1.6 per cent.
Accessible Voters – Asked whether they would consider voting for each of the federal parties, 46.1 per cent would consider voting Conservative, while 44.7 per cent of Canadians say they would consider voting Liberal. Four in ten (37.5%) would consider voting NDP, 35.9 per cent would consider voting Green, 8.9 per cent would consider voting for the People’s Party and 34.5 per cent would consider voting for the BQ.
Preferred Prime Minister – Nanos tracking has Scheer as the preferred choice as PM at 28.1 per cent of Canadians followed by Trudeau (26.3%), May (10.1%), Singh (7.6%) and Bernier (1.8%). Twenty four per cent of Canadians were unsure whom they preferred.
Qualities of a Good Political Leader – Four in ten Canadians (40.4%) believe Trudeau has the qualities of a good political leader while 38.2 per cent believe Scheer has the qualities of a good political leader. Four in ten (38.7%) believe Elizabeth May has the qualities of a good political leader, while 29.2 say the same about Jagmeet Singh. One in six (17.3%) believe Bernier has the qualities of a good political leader 23.8 per cent said Blanchet has the qualities of a good political leader (QC only).
Nanos Party Power Index – The Nanos Index which is a composite of a series of measures including ballot and leadership impressions has the Conservatives 52.1 points, followed by the Liberals with 47.8 points, the NDP 40.0 points, the Greens 39.2 points, the People’s Party 27.2 points and the BQ 31.6 points (QC only).
